7:00pm An Almost Ordinary Summer

Two very different Italian families are thrown together when two patriarchs announce - much to the shock of their grown children - that they are in love and getting married.

Cultures and personalities clash in this romantic comedy as one modern and dysfunctional family gets to know the passionate and traditional family of their father’s new love. It all helps of course that this all takes place in a spectacular cliffside villa in coastal Gaeta. With the wedding only weeks away, you can bet on chaos, catastrophe and hijinks being the guest of honour at this summer that is anything but ordinary.

Life is Fine (short film – screens with An Almost Ordinary Summer)

Lucas and Dante navigate life while Dante battles cancer. Together they continue to party, swim in the ocean and most importantly, be together. Life is fine for Dante and Lucas, and when Lucas accepts that, Lucas and Dante celebrate the history they shared and their upcoming future: life together. Life is Fine was filmed on location on the Bellarine Peninsula and in Central Geelong. The filmmakers of 'Life is Fine' are the winners of the 2019 GPFF Uplift Award.
